Adams ended with three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 FT) and seven rebounds over 26 minutes during Sunday's 103-89 loss to the Warriors in Game 7 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Adams had a strong series overall, but couldn't make a significant impact Sunday with the Rockets attempting to utilize a frontcourt-heavy rotation. Adams was used sparingly in the regular season, playing an average of 13.7 minutes per night in 58 appearances with 3.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists. Steven Adams : Struggles in Game 7
Adams is likely to generate considerable interest from contending teams as a free agent this offseason.
Dillon Brooks : Struggles in loss
Brooks notched eight points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 36 minutes during Sunday's 103-89 loss to the Warriors in Game 7 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. After a strong 24-point performance in Game 5, Brooks couldn't figure out how to get back on track offensively in the final two games of the series, failing to crack double-digits. The Oregon product ended his season, averaging 12.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in the first round, shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from deep.
Nate Williams : Fails to crack rotation
Williams did not see the floor during Sunday's Game 7 loss to the Warriors. Signed to a three-year, $5.25 million contract with the Rockets in March of 2025, Williams played a total of five minutes in the postseason. Williams made 20 appearances during the regular season, playing 7.4 minutes per night while averaging 3.3 points on 43.5 percent shooting. However, he was a standout in the G League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, posting averages of 17.3 points, 4.0 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals.
Fred VanVleet : Scores 17 points in Game 7 loss
VanVleet recorded 17 points (6-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and two steals over 44 minutes during Sunday's 103-89 loss to the Warriors in Game 7 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. After struggling offensively at times during the last stretch of the regular season, VanVleet kicked it into high gear during this first-round series. However, following three straight performances in which he scored 25 points or more, the Wichita State product failed to crack the 20-point mark in Game 7. The veteran guard's season ends, averaging 18.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game in this series, shooting 43 percent from the floor and 43.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Aaron Holiday : Doesn’t see floor
Holiday did not see the floor during Sunday's Game 7 loss to the Warriors. Holiday was used sparingly during the postseason, appearing in three games with an average of 9.0 minutes. He wasn't much more involved during the regular season, playing 12.8 minutes per game across 62 appearances with 5.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists on 43.7 percent shooting. The Rockets hold a $4.9 million team option on Holiday for the 2025-26 season.
Jabari Smith : Barely touched floor in Game 7 loss
Smith recorded three points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and four rebounds over 12 minutes during Sunday's 103-89 loss to the Warriors in Game 7 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Smith was barely noticeable in the loss, logging a series-low 12 minutes. It was a disappointing postseason all around for Smith, scoring double-digits only twice in seven appearances, while recording just six combined steals and blocks. His role moving forward is up in the air, with his lackluster play of late certain to factor into any decisions the coaching staff comes up with during the offseason.
Jalen Green : Questionable postseason concludes
Green ended Sunday's 103-89 loss to the Warriors in Game 7 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with eight points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block across 30 minutes. Green ended his postseason like it began, with a disappointing performance on both ends of the floor. Although Houston could be considered a success story this season, it is clear there are improvements to be made. Green ended the season as the leading scorer, yet scored fewer than 13 points in six of the past seven games.
Tari Eason : Quiet postseason continues
Eason registered five points (2-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 16 minutes during Sunday's 103-89 loss to the Warriors in Game 7 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Eason once again struggled to have an impact, playing fewer than 20 minutes for the fifth straight game. Despite his defensive upside, Eason was somewhat of a liability at times, with his decision-making an obvious frustration for head coach Ime Udoka. The loss brings to an end what was a positive season for the Rockets, and one that should prove vital for such a young team in the years to come.
