1. He is Rumored to be Joining the Marvel Universe
Though it's been in the rumor mill for a while, as reported on Heavy, Vin Diesel might be joining the ultimate level of crowning geekdom: being in a comic book movie.
Two days ago, Hollywood Reporter quoted Diesel as saying:
I guess after they watched Iron Giant, or whatever, they came up with this idea of taking the strangest Marvel character -- or the strangest Marvel character that's ever hit film -- and thought what I could do with that with motion capture and with my voice.
So who would Diesel be playing? Meet Groot, an anthropomorphic, sentient alien plant and a member of the Guardians of Galaxy.
