Featherweights booked for August bout in Los Angeles
A featherweight tilt between Nam Phan and Cole Miller is official for UFC on Fox 4 in Los Angeles this August.
The UFC recently announced the bout for the card, which will take place Aug. 4 at the Staples Center.
Miller last competed in March, losing to Steven Siler via unanimous decision. The loss pushed his record to 3-3 in his last six fights. During that span, Miller earned a victory over former “Ultimate Fighter” winner Ross Pearson.
Meanwhile, Phan also looks to find consistency as his UFC career has been anything but. He debuted in the promotion with a highly controversial split decision loss to Leonard Garcia and a unanimous decision loss to Mike Brown. While Phan did exact his revenge against Garcia in his third fight under the Zuffa banner, he went on to lose to Jimy Hettes at UFC 141.
UFC on Fox 4 features a middleweight tilt between contenders Brian Stann and former Bellator champion Hector Lombard, who will be making his UFC debut.
