CBS is reporting that Boston Bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev scrawled a note on the inside of the boat in which he was hiding — claiming responsibility for the deadly Boston Marathon Bombing.

Written in pen, the note said the bombers carried out the terrorist act in retaliation for the U.S.' wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. CBS reports:

...the bombings were retribution for U.S. military action in Afghanistan and Iraq, and called the Boston victims collateral damage in the same way Muslims have been in the American-led wars. "When you attack one Muslim, you attack all Muslims," the note added.

Dzhokhar's note said his brother, Tamerlan, who was killed in a shootout, was a "martyr" who was enjoying the splendors of paradise.
