At least 61 people are dead and more than 200 injured after a crowd stampede following a New Year’s Eve fireworks show in the Ivory Coast.
A local fire official said most of the dead are between 8 and 15 years old.
The tragedy unfolded around 1 a.m. as the crowd streamed out around the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in the Plateau of Abidjan.
