Jill Kelley and Surgeon Husband Lose Millions on Real Estate

Petraeus affair whistleblower Jill Kelley and her husband, cancer surgeon Scott Kelley (pictured above with Holly Petraeus), have more troubles than just her high-profile email scandal.

They’re broke.

According to the Daily Mail the couple owe millions of dollars after the collapse of their real estate holdings in 2012:

The Kelleys are currently the targets of at least four indebtedness lawsuits and two foreclosures in Hillsborough County [Florida], according to court records.

The couple are fighting to keep their properties and owe $2.2 million including attorney fees.

Last year, in 2011, a judge ordered the couple to put their property up for sale, according to TampaBay.com:

In the decade since the Kelleys arrived from Pennsylvania, it proved one of several examples of court cases seeking payment of real estate and credit card debts intermingling with catered parties and A-list guests as the couple sought to establish themselves in Tampa. And now the Kelleys have a national scandal to contend with — one that is quickly growing more and more curious.

Did Kelley hope to dig out of her financial hole by blowing the lid off the Petraeus affair? It definitely upped her chances for a book deal.
