In a small bit of justice for scarred victims of perverted priests, the first church official deemed a felon for covering up sex crimes was brought to justice today.
Monsignor William Lynn of Philadelphia received 3-6 years for hiding child molestation committed by priests under his command, reports the AP.
The judge scolded him upon his sentence, saying he let "monsters in clerical garb ... destroy the souls of children, to whom you turned a hard heart."
The sentencing comes a day after Penn State was severely punished by the NCAA for allowing child raper Jerry Sandusky to continue his reign of terror.
