Heavyweights clash at UFC on FX 5

A heavyweight contest between Matt Mitrione and Rob Broughton has been moved to “UFC on FX 5.”

MMAjunkie.com reported the news earlier today.

The heavyweight match up was originally set to take place this weekend at “UFC on FOX 4,” but Broughton was forced out due to personal reasons.

“UFC on FX 5” takes place on October 5 in Minneapolis, featuring a heavyweight headliner between Antonio Silva and Travis Browne.

Broughton finds himself in the midst of a two-fight losing streak. He was defeated by Travis Browne and Phil De Fries and has not earned a win since UFC 120.

Meanwhile, Mitrione last competed at UFC 137, losing to Cheick Kongo.
