TUF: Brazil gets second season

The Ultimate Fighting Championship brought the highly successful reality series, “The Ultimate Fighter,” to Brazil this year, and the promotion’s executives have already planned a return.

That news comes from UFC executive Marshall Zelaznik.

“We do anticipate another season,” Zelaznik told MMAjunkie.com. “It’s certain that we’ll do it.”

Very few details were given, aside from Zelaznik predicting that the same format as the first season would be followed and the second season would likely take place in 2013.

The first season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” wraps up this weekend with two final bouts at UFC 147 in Brazil. The series was aired on UFC.com on Sunday nights before hitting FUEL TV just a few weeks ago.

Coaches Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort were originally set to fight in the main event of the card, but an injured Belfort has since been replaced by Rich Franklin.
