Heavy.com confirmed the news with sources close to the organization on Tuesday. MMAFighting.com was the first to report the story.
Sources also tell Heavy.com that the bout is currently scheduled for the televised card.
UFC Fight Night 24, while not officially announced by the promotion, is expected to be headlined by a light heavyweight tilt between veterans Tito Ortiz and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
McCorkle recently lost to Stefan Struve by TKO in the first round of their UFC 124 bout. It was McCorkle’s first professional loss. Morecraft also lost to Struve in August.
