The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s next “UFC Fight Night” is now official, as “UFC Fight Night 22” is set for September 15 in Austin Texas.
Spike TV announced the event earlier today.
The event, set to take place at the Frank Erwin Center, features a middleweight bout between former top contender Demian Maia and the fast-rising Alan Belcher. Also on the card, as Heavy MMA first reported, Matt Wiman and Mac Danzig will meet in a rematch from their controversial affair back at UFC 115. The two fights will serve as main event and co-main event, respectively.
The event, which is set to precede the debut of the twelfth season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, will air live and free on Spike TV on September 15. No other fights have been made official for the event as of today.
