Bellator Fighting Championships is heading back to Texas this September for Bellator 27 at San Antonio’s Majestic Theater. The card is set for the first Thursday in September and tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow.
The promotion made the announcement earlier today.
“San Antonio is a great town and we were embraced very enthusiastically by the city’s MMA fans during our first visit to the Majestic Theater back in May,” stated Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney. “We can’t wait to return on September 2 with a full card of eight more exciting fights.”
Bellator 27 will feature three opening round bouts for the heavyweight and bantamweight tournaments that will take place in the promotion’s third season. The five other fights will feature local talent from the region. The event, along with the rest of the season, will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Net, and tickets for the event can be purchased on ticketmaster.com.
