UFC on Fuel TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier Weigh-ins Results

Jung, Poirier on mark for Tuesday fight in Virginia

All 24 fighters for the UFC on Fuel TV card successfully made weight Monday for their Tuesday fights.

The official weigh-in event took place at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., site of Tuesday’s card. UFC on Fuel TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier will have its six-fight main card broadcast live on the Fuel TV cable network at 8 p.m. Eastern. Six preliminary card fights will stream live at the UFC’s Facebook page at 5 p.m.

Main event featherweights Chan Sung Jung – “The Korean Zombie” – and Dustin Poirier each weighed in at 145 pounds for their fight, which is being called a title eliminator – the winner may wind up with the next title shot after champion Jose Aldo meets Erik Koch in July.

“I think it depends on what kind of a win I get, but I think it will be an exciting win and that should cement me in title contention,” Jung told UFC on Fuel TV host Jon Anik after making weight.

In the co-main event, welterweights Amir Sadollah, the Season 7 winner of “The Ultimate Fighter,” and Jorge Lopez, a protege of Wanderlei Silva, each were 171 pounds. And in a lightweight bout between a pair of fighters with a combined nine fight night bonuses, Donald Cerrone and Jeremy Stephens each weighed 155 pounds.
