Kenny Florian Drops To Featherweight
Former UFC lightweight contender Kenny Florian is set to make the move to the 145-pound division.
ESPN.com first reported the story and Heavy.com has confirmed the news.
The 34-year old Bostonian has fought for the UFC lightweight title twice and came up short each times. Now he’ll drop to the featherweight division in search of a UFC Championship.
Florian is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Gray Maynard at UFC 118 in August 2010, and is expected to make his featherweight debut in June or July.
He wants to face a top contender in the division.
