Joe Warren Joins Bellator Featherweight Tourney

Bellator today announced the addition of Joe Warren to the field for the the upcoming season two 145-pound tournament.

Warren (2-1) has fought exclusively under the DREAM banner in Japan, where he defeated former WEC champion Chase Beebe and Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto in his first two professional fights. Warren fell to Bibiano Fernandes in the DREAM featherweight grand prix.

Warren is one of the most accomplished freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers in the world and began training mixed martial arts at Team Quest shortly before his DREAM debut. And even though he’s been training less than a year, Warren believes he’s rapidly improving and will be competitive in the Bellator tournament.

“My hands are getting quicker; I’m seeing the openings quicker,” said Warren. “I’m just getting better every single day. I’m already 1,000 times better than I was in my last fight. With my style and my experience and my never-lose, never-die attitude, it’s gonna be really exciting for Bellator and for everyone who’ll be watching on TV.”

Warren joins a stacked tournament roster that includes Patricio “Pitbull” Freire, Bao Quach, Georgi Karakhanyan and William Romero. Bellator’s 145-pound tournament kicks off April 8.
