I'd be curious to hear what the initial pitch for <em>Donkey Kong</em> sounded like. The idea of a gorilla that's kidnapped a princess and hurls barrels at a plumber is a little bit bizarre, even by gaming standards. Nevertheless, the ape has held the #2 spot of most famous Kong for 31 years and isn't going away anytime soon. From his first apperance in arcades, up through a 2007 documentary, <em>The King of Kong</em>, no other primate in the gaming world has garnered such attention.
