The Patriots signed Williams a Wednesday. Williams spent the first six seasons of his career with the Bengals and will now join the Patriots. Quintin Morris : Signs with Jacksonville

Morris signed a one-year deal with the Jaguars on Wednesday, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports. Morris is headed to Jacksonville after having hauled in five passes for 36 yards and a touchdown in 16 games for the Bills last season. While he only has limited production in the receiving game, the 26-year-old can add value as both a blocker as well as on special teams.

Jayden Reed : Bulks up in offseason

Packers passing game coordinator Jason Vrable said Wednesday that Reed (shoulder) has bulked up to 199 pounds this offseason and is acting as a leader in the wide receiver room, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Reed's playing weight was listed at 187 pounds last season, so if he's able to retain his quickness despite adding bulk, additional muscle will boost his odds of managing a Year 3 breakout. General manager Brian Gutekunst said that the team still views Reed as its "top receiver" despite drafting Matthew Golden (23rd overall) and Savion Williams (87th overall) in the first three rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, but it's nonetheless difficult to project exactly how much target volume the slot specialist will be able to demand in what now looks like one of the league's more crowded WR rooms. Reed has managed to lead Green Bay in both receptions and receiving yards in his first two seasons in the league, but he's not yet strung together a 1,000-yard season. He was forced out of the team's playoff loss to Philadelphia early due to a dislocated shoulder, but Reed was able to avoid surgery and offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said he "looks great" at voluntary practices.

Derrick Henry : Gets two-year extension with Ravens

Henry and Baltimore agreed to terms Wednesday on a two-year, $30 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Henry had been slated to earn a $6 million base salary in the final year of his deal with the Ravens, but he now gets a new contract averaging $15 million per season over the next two years, with $25 million fully guaranteed. The 31-year-old rushed for 1,921 yards and 16 scores across 17 regular-season games after inking a two-year deal with the Ravens last March, with 19 catches for 193 yards (on 22 targets) and another two touchdowns through the air. As Schefter reports, Henry now carries the highest average salary in NFL history for a running back over the age of 30, with the deal reflecting the fact that against all odds, the bruising ball carrier has yet to show any signs of slowing down. In his inaugural season with Baltimore, Henry's average of 5.9 yards per carry ranked as the highest mark of his career, and he also set new career-best marks in terms of 20-plus yard carries (19) and rushes of 40-plus yards (five). Though he boasts less pass-catching upside than other top options at the running back position, Henry's explosiveness and offensive fit alongside Lamar Jackson will likely ensure his status as one of the top players off the board in 2025 fantasy drafts.

Nikola Jokic : Nudges triple-double in victory

Jokic posted 29 points (9-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 10-12 FT), 14 rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals across 41 minutes during Thursday's 119-107 win over the Thunder in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Jokic fell just short of yet another triple-double, helping guide the Nuggets to victory. The three-time MVP continues to bring it on both ends of the floor, delivering video game numbers on a nightly basis. Across the first six games against the Thunder, Jokic is averaging 29.8 points, 14.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 2.0 three-pointers in 41.0 minutes per game.

Jamal Murray : Plays through illness Thursday

Murray ended Thursday's 119-107 victory over Oklahoma City in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals with 25 points (9-19 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and one block in 42 minutes. Despite some conjecture over whether he would play or not, Murray took his spot in the starting lineup and certainly played a key role in the Game 6 victory. A four-point play to start the night set the tone for Murray, ending with him scoring at least 25 points for the third time in the past four games. The two teams will meet again Sunday, providing Murray with some time to recover before what promises to be a classic Game 7.

Julian Strawther : Second-half heroics fuel victory

Strawther finished with 15 points (4-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and two rebounds over 20 minutes during Thursday's 119-107 victory over Oklahoma City in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Strawther had easily his best game of the postseason, scoring all 15 of his points during the second half, fueling what was an impressive victory for the Nuggets. With Jamal Murray dealing with an illness, Strawther took it upon himself to springboard the win, an encouraging sign given how little we have seen of him during the playoffs. Denver will now head to Oklahoma City for Game 7, with both teams feeling as though they have something to prove.

Chet Holmgren : Double-doubles in Game 6 loss

Holmgren amassed 19 points (8-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 30 minutes during Thursday's 119-107 loss to the Nuggets in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Holmgren led the Thunder with 11 rebounds, recording his fourth double-double of the series. Having tallied just three total blocks over the past three games, Holmgren's impact on the defensive end has been somewhat muted by the Nuggets. However, he remains one of the best shot-blockers in the league and will undoubtedly look to have more of an impact when the two teams face off one final time Sunday.

Kenta Maeda : Gets minor-league deal from Cubs

The Cubs signed Maeda to a minor-league contract Thursday, Yuki Yamada of MLB.com reports. Maeda was released by the Tigers last week after allowing eight runs (seven earned) with an 8:6 K:BB over eight innings in a low-leverage relief role. The right-hander is expected to join the Triple-A Iowa rotation and make a start Saturday. Maeda could provide the Cubs with some experienced rotation depth.

Yandy Díaz : Back from restricted list

The Rays reinstated Diaz (personal) from the restricted list Friday. The 33-year-old was unavailable for a three-game series in Toronto due to a passport issue, but he's back with the Rays for Friday's series opener in Miami. Diaz has a .238/.291/.400 slash line with six homers through 175 plate appearances this year, and he's batting just .184 (7-for-38) through 10 games in May.

Andy Pages : Remains hot with another homer

Pages went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 19-2 rout of the Athletics. The Dodgers' offense put on a show in the blowout victory, and Pages was in the middle of it, going yard to cap a seven-run third inning. That gave Los Angeles a 13-2 lead, and Pages was one of three regulars pulled before the top of the next frame in order to get some extra rest. The long ball was his second in as many games and continued a hot 10-game stretch at the plate during which the outfielder is slashing .349/.364/.581 with the two homers, 10 RBI, seven runs and two stolen bases.

Eury Pérez : Gets to 42 pitches in rehab start

Perez (elbow) scattered three hits and issued no walks while striking out five batters over three scoreless innings in his most recent rehab start Sunday at Single-A Jupiter. Making the fourth start of his rehab assignment, Perez delivered his best and longest outing yet. He built up to 42 pitches (31 strikes) and averaged 96.9 miles per hour on his 24 fastballs. Per MLB.com, Perez returned to Miami on Wednesday to complete a pitch-design session, but he should be cleared to resume his rehab assignment with Jupiter or a higher-level affiliate in the coming days. While he continues to work his way back from April 2024 Tommy John surgery, Perez is expected to make four more rehab starts before returning from the 60-day injured list in early June.

Lenyn Sosa : Taking seat Friday

Sosa is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs. Sosa started each of the previous eight contests, but he will get a breather for the series opener against the ChiSox's crosstown rival. Josh Rojas will be at second base and bat eighth.
