Belfast, in North Ireland, is being rocked this week by riots which are purportedly in response to the country's Orange Parade, which celebrates the victory of William of Orange over King James II, but generally pits its Protestant observants against the Catholic nationalists. However, most of those involved in the riots were too young to remember the violence between those two factions - so why were they rioting? Here's the results of the latest poll:
- 18% Not Drunk Enough
- 21% Too Drunk
- 13% Someone lost at soccer, somewhere, probably
- 19% Too much homework
- 14% Kids who complain about too much homework
- 4% Trying to keep dated Family Guy jokes relevant
- 1% Really wanted to steal a train
- 24% Catholic Guilt
- 23% Protestant Copy-cattiness
- 8% Looking for something to do with their empties
- 5% Thought of something really witty to say when they set a policeman on fire
- 6% Trying to get some summer mileage out of their streetwear hoodies before they go out of style
- 83% Unemployed and looking for something cheap to do
