Henry and Baltimore agreed to terms Wednesday on a two-year, $30 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Henry had been slated to earn a $6 million base salary in the final year of his deal with the Ravens, but he now gets a new contract averaging $15 million per season over the next two years, with $25 million fully guaranteed. The 31-year-old rushed for 1,921 yards and 16 scores across 17 regular-season games after inking a two-year deal with the Ravens last March, with 19 catches for 193 yards (on 22 targets) and another two touchdowns through the air. As Schefter reports, Henry now carries the highest average salary in NFL history for a running back over the age of 30, with the deal reflecting the fact that against all odds, the bruising ball carrier has yet to show any signs of slowing down. In his inaugural season with Baltimore, Henry's average of 5.9 yards per carry ranked as the highest mark of his career, and he also set new career-best marks in terms of 20-plus yard carries (19) and rushes of 40-plus yards (five). Though he boasts less pass-catching upside than other top options at the running back position, Henry's explosiveness and offensive fit alongside Lamar Jackson will likely ensure his status as one of the top players off the board in 2025 fantasy drafts.
Washington tore his Achilles during conditioning, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. An MRI confirmed the tear, and Washington is expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2025 season. It's a brutal blow for the 25-year-old safety, who emerged as a key defender in the Ravens' secondary last season and tallied career bests in total tackles (64) and interceptions (two) across 17 regular-season games. Washington's absence opens the door for rookie first-rounder Malaki Starks to earn a starting role at safety alongside Kyle Hamilton.
Coach John Harbaugh was impressed by what he saw of Loop during the Ravens' rookie minicamp, Clifton Brown of the team's official site reports. "It was good to see it. It was good to hear it," Harbaugh noted of rookie sixth-rounder's kicking during the minicamp. "I think as much as anything, it's good to hear a kicker, and the way the ball comes off his foot is impressive." Following the release of Justin Tucker on Monday, Loop -- who was first kicker drafted in the Ravens' 30-year history, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN -- appears poised to assume the team's placekicking duties, though look for depth at the position to be added, with Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic noting that Baltimore is expected to sign UDFA John Hoyland (Wyoming).
Tucker has been working out at Baltimore's training facility, and the Ravens are currently approaching the competition between him and rookie Tyler Loop "purely on football," Giana Han of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. Tucker uncharacteristically struggled last year, converting just 22 of 30 field-goal attempts over 17 regular-season games. He's also currently under investigation by the NFL due to off-field allegations. The Ravens selected Loop in the sixth round of April's draft, suggesting that Tucker's role with the team is hazy considering the league's investigation and his unsatisfactory kicking last year.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Saturday that Flowers didn't need surgery to fix the knee injury that ended his 2024 season, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. Flowers wasn't able to participate in either of Baltimore's two playoff games last season due to a right knee sprain he suffered Week 18 against Cleveland. There was some concern that the talented wideout would need to undergo surgery, but that didn't end up being the case. As such, Flowers seems to be on track to be ready for the start of the 2025 season, when he'll look to further build upon his impressive 2024 campaign during which he caught 74 passes for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns over 17 regular-season contests.
Jones may not take part in practice until training camp due to a shoulder injury, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Jones was a third-round selection by the Ravens in April's NFL Draft. The LSU product's injury doesn't appear likely to sideline him for any regular-season games, but it could delay his offseason program to some extent. If he's healthy for training camp, Jones will likely be competing for snaps at right guard.
Noteboom signed a contract with the Ravens on Saturday. Noteboom spent his first seven seasons with the Rams, starting 35 of 71 career regular-season games. He suited up for only four regular-season contests last year, however, as he dealt with an ankle injury throughout the campaign. Noteboom will likely serve as depth along the offensive line for Baltimore this season.
