Heavyweight Giants Hunt, McCorkle Expected To Clash At UFC 119

Giant heavyweights Mark Hunt and Sean McCorkle are expected to meet on the preliminary card at UFC 119.

The news was first reported by Five Ounces of Pain. HeavyMMA.com has since confirmed the news with sources close to the organization.

Hunt will make his UFC debut after spending the majority of his MMA career in Japan. He’s a legend in the kickboxing industry and has captured multiple titles in K-1, including the 2001 World Grand Prix championship. He’s currently on a five-fight losing streak, suffering consecutive defeats to Josh Barnett, Fedor Emelianenko, Alistair Overeem, Melvin Manhoef and Gegard Mousasi.

McCorkle is a 6’6″, 320lb giant who sports an undefeated 7-0 record. He has finished six of his seven opponents, with his last bout coming against Jonathan Ivey at a Legends of Fighting event in May.

UFC 119 takes place Sept. 25 in Indianapolis. There is currently no main event scheduled for the show, but Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Ryan Bader will face off in the co-main event.
