Tim Hague Replaces Chad Corvin at UFC 113

Just over two months after he was released by the UFC, heavyweight Tim Hague (10-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) will replace an injured Chad Corvin and face Joey Beltran (11-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at UFC 113. The fight will take place on the preliminary card of the event.

UFC 113 will take place May 8 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The main event is a light heavyweight title rematch between champion Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Hague has lost his last two fights in the octagon. He was knocked out in seven seconds by Todd Duffes at UFC 102 and dropped a decision to Chris Tuchscherer in his most recent bout at UFC 109.

Beltran won his debut in the UFC, a second round TKO victory over Rolles Gracie at UFC 109. However, there wasn’t much action in the bout and the crowd let both fighters know their displeasure by booing regularly.

According to a report by MMAJunkie.com, Corvin’s medical paperwork was not approved by the Quebec Athletic Commission and that’s the reason why he had to drop out of the fight.
