If you love Pokemon, then you'll love the video below. Some clever gamer has made Pokemon Gold/Silver playable on the Oculus Rift.
Being able to play games you already love could make the Oculus Rift a lot more appealing to consumers. The Verge compares the looks of Pokemon in 3D to Minecraft, and adds that the team behind this 3D Pokemon offering "has plans to update the virtual world with each and every Pokemon from all generations and regions in the series."
"It needs some tuning—dialogue is well to the bottom of each lens and somewhat difficult to read, as are the battle commands, which sit far to the right. As the narrator says, battle view is not optimal but the game is in beta. Going into a shop, the wearer has to tilt his head far to the left or right to see what he's buying.P
As a proof of concept, though, it's intriguing, and shows that if you can play it, someone will try to play it on the Oculus Rift."
