Will These Robots Teach The Next Generation Computer Science?

Play-i is making robots that make programming fun. Their Kickstarter campaign has been an overwhelming success. Above, you can watch their two robots, Bo and Yana, give you the basics about what their project is about.

Right now, the project has raised over $450,000, if it reaches $500,000, the company will create even more accessories for the robots and these will be sold to early adopters at cost, rather than the higher retail price.

If they raise $700,000, the company will also create the Xylophone pictured in the video.

Overall, the product looks like a fascinating integration of pre-existing technology meant to simplify programming, including Blockly, a programming language that is so simple, a child could learn it.
