Rumors have returned revolving around Android 4.4 and the mysterious Nexus 5. Now, the release date is believed to be next Tuesday October 15th. According to CNET, this resurfaced for developers at Google Launchpad. The likely inspiration for this speculation though is based on the servings of Key Lime Pie and Kitkat bars.

The new Nexus 5, with a 5-inch screen and could be sold for $239 as a 16GB model, has been set for an upcoming reveal soon but a release date has not been confirmed. The phone first appeared at the beginning of September in the video below.

While the company offered no comment, the phone began appearing in several FCC filings sparking more interest in this new device. Android 4.4 was announced around the same time as a promotion with the Nestle but it was unknown where and when it would be made available especially on what phone. We may just have to wait and see how this plays out.
