At Allen & Co.'s Sun Valley conference this past week, Google CEO Eric Schmidt was caught using the yet-unreleased Moto X phone.
The Moto X's existence has been confirmed already, by Android chief Sundar Pichai at the All Things D conference, but this is the best glimpse we've gotten of the new Motorola device.
The Moto X will be highly customizable, letting consumers pick out the color and laser engravings before purchase, according to a number of media reports. The device will be produced by Motorola Mobility, the company Google purchased back in May 2012 for over $12.5 billion. It'll be the first Motorola phone released since the acquisition, so there's a lot of pressure on Google, Android, and Motorola to succeed.
