Gallery: The New Features in iOS 7

iOS 7 Home Screen

iOS 7 was released on Monday for developers and avid Apple fans, and we managed to get our hands on it. iOS 7 features a ton of cosmetic features, so we took some screenshots so we can guide you through the changes in iOS 7.

The Mail app in iOS 7 looks really different. As you can see it looks a lot cleaner and flatter. You can now easily delete emails by just swiping one to the left (similar to Mailbox).

iTunes Music got a facelift as well. It looks a little bit different from the stock Music app in iOS 6.

iTunes Radio is a brand new service unveiled by Apple at WWDC 2013. The streaming radio service lets users stream music for free (with ads) or free without ads for iTunes Music subscribers.

iOS drastically changed multi-tasking in iOS 7.Now, you can see live tiles of the apps and to quit them, all you do is swipe up.

iOS 7 added a new feature, Control Center. To access Control Center, just swipe upwards on any screen. You can easily turn on and off things like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Airplane Mode, and adjust the brightness.

Notification Center looks really different too. There's now a "Today" feature, which shows what you have to do that day.

Calendar got a huge facelift as well. It's a lot cleaner and "flatter," which is Jony Ive's style (Ive is Apple's SVP in charge of software development).

On iOS 7, you can now block phone numbers from sending iMessages, calling you, and FaceTimeing you as well. Just type the number in and they'll be blocked.

The App Store has a new look too, and a new features (which we'll go over next.

Apple added an "App Near Me" feature so you can find some apps that your friends nearby are using.

Icons got a huge overhaul, and the reviews have been less than stellar. But, iOS 7 is still under development, so Apple may change it up.

There's a new feature in iOS 7 that looks like an orientation meter, that helps you keep things like pictures leveled when you're nailing them into the wall.

iOS 7 has completely revamped Notes, and gotten rid of the lines and the skeumorphism that's been associated with Notes for the longest time.
