galaxy mega, samsung galaxy mega

Today, Samsung announced some brand new ginormous smartphones to complement the new flagship, Samsung Galaxy S4. Here’s what you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy Mega.

1. Samsung Revealed Two New Phones
There isn’t just one Samsung Galaxy Mega, there are two. Both devices are a lot larger than the Samsung Galaxy S4, which was released in mid-March 2013, but are both different sizes.

2. The “Smallest” Samsung Galaxy Mega is Still Pretty Big
The “smallest” Galaxy Mega is 5.8 inches, which is massive compared to the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5’s screen size is only 4 inches, which is on the lower end of most popular smartphone devices. The Galaxy Mega-Mini is even bigger than the Galaxy S4, which sports a 5-inch screen.

3. The Largest Galaxy Mega is Absolutely Huge
The biggest Galaxy Mega device is a massive 6.3 inches, which makes it one of the biggest smartphones on the market. The phone is so big, in fact, that it’s bigger than the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, a phone-tablet (phablet) device produced by Samsung as well.

4. The 6.3 inch Galaxy Mega is Bigger than 75 Percent of Penises on Earth
After compiling some data, the folks at Gizmodo deduced that 6.3 inches was bigger than about 75 percent of human penises on Earth. In addition, Buzzfeed hypothesized that the trend of increasing phone sizes would stop once smartphones became bigger than penises. It’ll be interesting to see whether that occurs (my guess is no).

5. It’s Bigger Than a Lot of Other Big Things
The list includes:
The iPhone 5
The Galaxy Note 2
A stack of 1,465 dollar bills
A small coffee
A can of Red Bull
And your penis (probably)
