Since the lock screen bug was first discovered in iOS 6.1, lock screen bugs have become very popular. The lock screen bug that was discovered in iOS 6.1 gave users full access to photos and contacts. A similar bug has been found on the Samsung Galaxy S III that gives access to all of your personal data. Sean McMillan was first to discover and post about the new lock screen bug.

ZDNet has confirmed the bypass on Samsung Galaxy S III running on Android 4.1.2.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy S III and want to try it out, the bug is simple. From the lock screen enter “Emergency Call” and then open “Emergency Contacts.” After you have done that, press the “Home” button and then immediately hit the “Power” button. Hit the “Power” button again and you should be taken to the home screen and not the lock screen.
