Apple released iOS 6.1.3 today for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users today. The new update reportedly fixes the lock screen issue that has been well-documented in the media.
According to tech blogs, a security flaw in Apple's mobile operating system allowed unauthorized users to acces the phone app by tricking the lock screen. The security breach had broad implications, because users would be able to call people from lost or stolen iPhones.
In addition to the lock screen fix, the new iOS 6.1.3 update also updates Apple Maps for Japanese users. 9To5Mac reported that the beta version of iOS 6.1.3 (for developers only) had fixes for Apple Maps for Japan, but it seems like this new update has even more fixes.
You can download the update over-the-air or through iTunes.
