HTC M7: Top 10 Facts You Need To Know

HTC hasn’t announced their new flagship HTC M7 smartphone yet, but it looks like the company is making big plans to unveil the device just a few weeks before Mobile World Congress. Invitations were sent out for their February 19 press conference, and videos were leaked earlier this week showing the front and rear panels. New leaked images of the HTC M7 are about HTC’s new phone.

1. HTC M7 Will Look Similar To HTC DNA
A source leaked a few images of parts of the HTC M7. We’re not sure if it’s a prototype or if this is for the final version. One part of the case looks to be similar to Verizon’s HTC DNA, but without a camera ring and metallic buttons.

2. HTC M7 Will Be Sold By Three Major US Carriers

Sources are saying all the major carriers including AT&T, Verizon and Sprint will carry the HTC M7.

3. HTC M7 Will Pack Some Power Under The Hood
HTC M7 will be powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, and will have 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage.

4.The Phone Will Have Top-Of-The-Line Features

The HTC M7 will have a 4.7-inch 1080p full HD display. It will support 4G LTE data, and will have a 13 MP rear-facing camera. The phone will be powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Neither the Galaxy S4 or HTC M7 have been announced, but both flagship phones will be competing against each other. Sources are saying HTC M7 has a chance of beating the Galaxy S4. 

6. HTC M7 Will Come In Two Different Color Options
It’s being said that HTC will be launching the HTC M7 in two different colors: black and silver/white. A source says the design will bear a silver case on each side with a white glass bezel around the display.

7. HTC M7 Will Have An All New “Simple And Clean” Sense UI

Sense fans all over the world are getting excited because the M7 could deliver a revamped Sense UI. The new Sense 5.0 is being described as simple and minimalistic. Having Sense 5.0 could feel very similar to Vanilla Android.

8. HTC Promises To Turn Things Around In 2013
Although HTC produced a lot of android smartphones in the last year, the company is still struggling financially, trying to compete against Apple and Samsung. Peter Chou, CEO of HTC told the WSJ, “our competitors were too strong and very resourceful, pouring in lots of money into marketing. We haven’t done enough on the marketing front.” Hopefully HTC can put more money into marketing and find a way to convince consumers to buy the HTC M7 over its competition.

9. HTC Might Release The HTC M7 Before MWC Expo

It’s being rumored that HTC is getting ready to unveil the HTC M7 before MWC expo. HTC is sending out invitations for an event happening on February 19th, 2013.

10. The HTC M7 Will Be Sold At An Affordable Price
We’re not sure of the exact price for the HTC M7, but it’s being rumored that an unlocked version of the phone will cost anywhere between $350 USD to $600 USD.
