Human Error Causes Porn Video to be Editor’s Pick on Vine App

Last week, Twitter released a new video-sharing service called Vine, and just the other day, we posted about how it's already covered in porn. Well, this morning, some kind of eerie karma set foot in the Vine offices as all of Vine's users caught a glimpse to a rather provocative "Editor's Pick" that hit the app's homepage. The video was of a man penetrating himself with a dildo.

When reaching out to a Twitter spokesperson, Gizmodo revealed:

A human error resulted in a video with adult content becoming one of the videos in Editor's Picks, and upon realizing this mistake we removed the video immediately. We apologize to our users for the error.

Since Vine is only accessible on iOS, it's only a matter of time to see whether or not Apple wants to lay the banhammer on Twitter, seeing as the app provides an easy avenue to pornography, which goes against the App Store terms of service.

Update: It appears that Apple was quick to respond to the situation. Although Vine is still available on the App Store, Apple removed the app from its Featured Section.
