Louis “Rocket” Re is a fan of Evel Knievel. We all are, but Louis is a big fan. As a homage to Knievel, Rocket performs jumps on a bone-stock 1970 American Eagle Laverda 750 – the same bike Knievel was jumping in the 70s.

It packs a 400 hp diesel out of a Ford F-350, a Dana 80 rear-end, and a look and feel that would make Max Rockatansky feel right at home. This is Mitch Allread’s custom fabricated creation and it is, without a doubt, one of the coolest things on the road today.

In 1967 a plumber working on a building renovation outside Chicago discovered a one-of-a-kind motorcycle that had sat behind a brick wall for almost 50 years. With an unknown origin and engineering and machining well ahead of its time, the Traub represents one of the greatest mysteries in American motorcycle history.
