Sacha Baron Cohen has been “banned” from this year’s Academy Awards ceremony after rumors that he would appear in full costume as The Dictator Admiral General Aladeen and turn Hollywood’s biggest night into a publicity stunt for the upcoming film. The Admiral General made an appearance on NBC’s Today Show this morning to express his feelings on the situation.

Set In 1863, DiCaprio is Amsterdam Vallon who returns to the Five Points area of New York City, seeking revenge against Bill the Butcher (Day-Lewis), his father’s killer. Scorsese directs the all-star cast. Watch the film here.
