The FBI released tapes of its interrogation of Ariel Castro following his arrest in May for the forced imprisonment of three women for more than a decade.

The Cleveland monster took his own life at around 9:20 p.m. on September 3.

Castro told The Today Show’s Savannah Guthrie: “I think that if he really can’t control his impulses and he really doesn’t have any value for human life.”

Pleading guilty to 937 of 977 charges, Castro took a deal that spares his life so he can rot in jail forever.

If Castro accepts the deal, he would receive life without parole plus 1,000 years.
