Alison Gold may be the new Rebecca Black.
No one is wrong.
The chorus may be completely stupid, but it seems reasonably inoffensive:
"I love Chinese food. You know that it’s true. I love fried rice, I love noodles, I love chow mein, chow m-m-m-mein."
E! points out that things get most racist in the following scene, when Patrice Wilson, playing a panda, begins to rap in a distinctive manner:
Oh, and he seems like he's squinting his eyes and rapping in an "Asian" voice. If so, that's just racist.
HuffPo concurs and adds:
[down to] the young girls dressed in full geisha garb featured in the video, it's seems pretty clear that what's coming out of the Ark Music Factory [Patrice Wilson's company] these days is simply an exercise in trolling.
Fair enough, but isn't the really offensive part that hundreds of thousands of talented musicians are near starving, and yet America will spend the next few days talking about this girl and her horrible song? Patrice Wilson, a twice-offending ear terrorist, remains out of prison — and he's laughing all the way to the bank!
But hey, maybe it'll blow over quickly. The video has nearly 7,000 dislikes (and about 2,000 likes) on YouTube.
Also, Alison Gold only has 95 twitter followers, so maybe the world hasn't gone completely insane.
