Yaeba Teeth: While not quite as weird as Bagel Heads, this Japanese trend involves dental caps that replicate snaggletoothed fangs. Recipients of the procedure call it Yaeba which means "double tooth", and the trend has gained popularity from actresses and celebrities sporting their snaggletoothed smiles. Jewel would be a queen to these Yaeba-heads.

Just a warning though, your body may reject the implant and try to push it out of your skin - delightful!

<strong>Scarification:</strong> Tribes in Papa New Guinea have been doing scarification for centuries. It first started appearing in western culture in San Francisco in the 1980s and is now starting to become more common. Expect a lot of pain, as the process involves branding the skin with hot steel - just like ranchers do with a steer! It's also got a higher rate of infection than tattoos during and after the healing process. You want to be <em>cool</em> though, don't you?

<strong>Spike Implants:</strong> Spikes on your leather jacket are cool and all, but they really lose some of their "badass" appeal when Urban Outfitters starts selling the studded merch. The obvious solution is having metal spikes implanted under your skin. The implants are placed into the skull and will finally give you that Triceratops look you've always desired. While you may have trouble finding a job that's not at Hot Topic, you'll have a Halloween costume that last all year.

People are now injecting saline underneath the skin on their foreheads. As the saline builds up it creates a reservoir, where the thumb is then pressed into it to create the "bagel" look. The effects of the body modification last only about 24 hours, because the saline is absorbed into the body. Seems like the perfect way to give your body the sweet, sweet saline it desperately needs. Oh wait...

<strong>Corset Piercing:</strong> This incredibly emo body modification has all the look and pain of a corset, without the benefit of up lifting up the breasts. It's a pretty simple concept, stab a bunch of holes into your back and then weave in your favorite ribbons like your body was a shoe. Your Gothic friends will fawn over how deliciously dark and sexy your new body mod is, and hopefully they'll hang around to pick up your penicillin prescription when the holes become infected.

Sometimes that's the price you have to pay for being so damn metal!

Now you can really impress your peers with having platinum alloy inserted under your cornea. It's only a matter of time before the today's youth embraces this new "eye-bling."

<strong>Ear Pointing:</strong> You can't really consider yourself a true <em>Lord of the Rings</em> (or whatever dorky fantasy reference you prefer) without surgically altering your ears. Ear pointing is exactly what it sounds like, having your ears modified so that they resemble the Keebler Elf. The trend has been around since the 1990s and is growing in popularity with fans of the fantasy genre.

<strong>Forked Tongue:</strong> If your going to be a forked tongued liar you might as well look the part. The process involves splitting the tongue down the middle, giving it the look of a reptile. Most plastic surgeons refuse to do the procedure because of the tongue's necessity for eating and speaking. Talking like a mushy-mouthed freak for the rest of your life is a small price to pay for having the tongue of a komodo dragon.
