Jake Davidson didn't want to resign himself to high-school mediocrity for his senior prom. He certainly hasn't, since a YouTube video he made asking supermodel Kate Upton to be his prom date went viral and he got a Twitter response from Upton herself. Today, the two were interviewed on the Today Show (above) about the whole deal, and Upton's answer is still a resounding "maybe."

Davidson was in a studio in L.A. for the interview, and a very cheery Upton phoned in to thank him for the video. His expression alone when he finds out Upton will be on the call makes watching the clip worthwhile. Even if she doesn't end up going to Jake's prom with him, this is enough for him to be idolized by his high school pals for, well, the rest of his high school career.
