In addition to the Aaron Sorkin-penned Steve Jobs biopic currently in development, and the Ashton Kutcher-led film jOBS, which premiered at Sundance 2013 and is currently postponed indefinitely, Funny or Die will be releasing their own feature-length Steve Jobs film, starring Justin Long as the Apple co-founder.

While the Funny or Die Steve Jobs film may not be the most historically accurate film about Jobs, it will be the first film released about Jobs. The film, titled iSteve, is Funny or Die’s longest project and runs about 60 to 75 minutes long.

Writer and director Ryan Perez spoke to the New York Times about the film and the process behind the development of the project. Perez said he wrote the script in three days and it took five days to film, and characters include Bill and Melinda Gates and Lost’s Jorge Garcia as Steve Wozniak.

Admittedly, Perez said that the research wasn’t very extensive and is basically an overview of the Steve Jobs Wikipedia page, but the film covers his entire life, which is something neither the Sorkin-led biopic nor the jOBS can claim.

The film, iSteve, starring Justin Long and Jorge Garcia, will be released on Funny or Die’s website on April 15.
