The Samsung Galaxy S4 was unveiled in a packed media event in New York City last week, but Samsung left out some key information regarding the Galaxy S4’s release date and price.

Samsung unveiled some major features, including the S Translator and Dual Camera photos, but left out exactly when the Galaxy S4 will be released or the price of Samsung’s new device. Samsung President J.K. Shin was at the event and said that the device would be available in “late April,” but he declined to offer a concrete release date.

A smartphone’s release date is dependent on a number of factors, including which country you’re in and which carrier you use. With Samsung’s Galaxy S4, which country you live in determines what type of processor your S4 will have: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 or the Exynos 5 Octa processor.

In the United States, the major carriers will be able to sell the Samsung Galaxy S4. The six telecomm companies include Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Cricket Wireless. All six companies have been silent when it comes to a release date or price for the Samsung Galaxy S4. However, reports hint that the official release date for the Samsung Galaxy S4 is April 26, and the price (with a two-year contract) will be somewhere between $199 and $299. In addition, a report from Android Authority indicates that the Galaxy S4 that’s sold in the U.S. will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor.
