Report: Microsoft Investigated by DOJ and SEC for Bribery

Microsoft briberyAccording to the href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324392804578361971662214256.html?mg=id-wsj" target="_blank">Wall Street Journal, Microsoft is being investigated for allegedly bribing foreign government official to get software contracts from those governments.

According to the report from WSJ, both the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission are investigating the PC giant. The anonymous tipsters who alerted the government agencies indicated that Microsoft paid officials in China, Romania and Italy.

Microsoft hired an unaffiliated firm to investigate these allegations in China. The investigation lasted 10 months and the unnamed firm couldn't find any indication of wrongdoing.
