The New York Post reported that Chelsea Clinton and husband Marc Mezinsky have just purchased a $10.5 million apartment at The Whitman, located at the north end of Madison Square Park, with plans to move in during June.  Here are some quick facts you need to know about the couple’s new home.

1. It’s a 5,000 Square-Foot Apartment

Living Room

The new Georgian-style pre-war apartment that Chelsea and Marc bought is a vary spacious area with four bedrooms and six and half bathrooms. Located at 21 East 26th St. on the second floor, the apartment has wooden oak floors, Italian marble bathrooms, and an elevator access.

The big pad also had a media room and a home office. The kitchen has state-of-the-art appliances with large marble tabletops. The apartment’s living room has a great view of northern Madison Square Park and has a private gym downstairs.

2. It’s Located Near Their Old Place

Grand Madison

The 5,000 square-foot flat is located a few blocks from where Chelsea and Marc’s current residence is. The couple has recently stayed at the Grand Madison in Gramercy Park. Their current apartment costed them a mere $4 million, boasting three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a gym. The condo measures at 1,922 square feet.

3. Bill & Hillary Took a Tour

The Clintons

Last Sunday, the couple planned a private tour of the new apartment with former President Bill Clinton and ex-Secretary of State Hilary Clinton. As soon as they arrived, the family was surrounded by construction workers. They weren’t upset, however, and reportedly shook hands with them and posed for pictures.

4. Other Stars Had a Look at the Place

Alex Rodriguez

Other A-list celebrities, like Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, also toured the apartment before the Clintons and Mezvinsky got their hands on it, a real estate source told the Daily News.

5. One of the Brokers Has a Bond Connection

Melanie and George Lazenby

Melanie Lazenby, one of the brokers selling the apartment, happens to be the daughter of former James Bond actor George Lazenby. You may remember Lazenby as an MI-6 agent in the 1969 film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The daughter of the 007 star has a license to sell, being the executive vice president at Prudential Douglas Elliman. Melanie has gained fame in her own right by breaking sales in real estate selling properties like the West Village’s Superior Ink, according to the Real Deal.
