"Zumba hooker" Alexis Wright has pleaded guilty to prostitution, tax evasion and theft in the prostitution scandal that rocked the sleepy town of Kennebunk, Maine.

Wright ran a one-woman brothel out of her Zumba dance studio, allegedly servicing more than 100 clients — whose names were controversially aired by local cops only after a court order demanded their release.

Originally accusing Wright of over 100 counts, prosecutors have accepted her guilty plea in 20 of them. She will definitely face jail time.

WCVB reports that Wright:

...quietly answered "guilty" 20 times when the judge read the counts, which include engaging in prostitution, promotion of prostitution, conspiracy to promote prostitution, tax evasion and theft by deception.

Wright, 30, was accused of running a whorehouse out of her zumba dance studio in Kennebunk, Maine. She did so with the help of former private dick Mark W. Strong, 54, who sourced clients and videotaped their actions. Wright was believed to be charging $195 for a half hour and $300 for a full hour.

A legal battle ensued as lawyers for the johns sought to protect their clients identities, their challenge failed and every two weeks names of johns who used Alexis Wright's services were let into the public domain.

Mark W. Strong faced a trial over his role in the operation, he successfully had his "invasion of privacy" charges thrown out as the Judge Nancy Mills ruled that those committing crimes had no right to privacy in the first place.
