Wife of ‘Cannibal Cop’ Testifies Against Accused NYPD Officer

Cannibal Cop, Gilberto Valle

The wife of New York’s “cannibal cop” breaks down as she testifies in court on Monday.

The estranged wife of New York’s cannibal cop, Gilberto “Gil” Valle, testified on Monday as she described the moment she discovered the shocking online chats on his computer of him discussing his plans to kill her and to abduct, torture and eat other women, reports WTOP.

“I was going to be tied up by my feet and my throat slit, and they would have fun watching the blood gush out of me because I was young,” Kathleen Mangan-Valle said in court on Monday.

According to the New York Post, she also said she was shocked when she found that Valle had visited a website featuring a photo of a dead woman and other gruesome images.

“I just remember it was porn and it was disturbing,” Mangan said. “I know S&M is popular with Fifty Shades of Gray but this seemed different. The girl on the front page was dead.”

Mangan broke down in tears several times throughout the testimony.

Valle is accused of conspiracy to kidnap a woman and unauthorized use of a law enforcement database that may have helped him build a list of potential targets. Valle claims that his online chats of cannibalism were harmless fetish fantasies, but Assistant U.S. Attorney Randall Jackson said he was “very serious about these plans.”

Valle faces life in jail if found guilty of the kidnapping charge.
