Guerlain Chicherit, World's First Car Backflip

Guerlain Chicherit

French stuntman Guerlain Chicherit is the only person in the world who can say they successfully landed an unassisted 360-degree car backflip.

The 34-year-old daredevil trained for four years before pulling off the stunt in a specially built Mini Countryman going at exactly 37 miles per hour, reports the Daily Mail. Chicherit first performed the amazing feat on Sunday morning in private just in case anything went wrong, and then again later on in front of thousands of people as part of an event set up by Monster energy drink at the French ski resort of Tignes in the Alps.

"When you attempt something nobody has ever achieved before, the stress is really high but the only way is to just try it," Chicherit said after he landed the backflip.

Chicherit is a French rally driver, professional skier and champion freerider.
