"The X Factor" judge L.A. Reid announced that he will not be returning to the show next year.
"I have decided that I will not return to 'The X Factor' next year. It saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit. I have a company to run that I've kind of neglected. This was a nice break but now it's time to get back to work."
It must be nice making millions of dollars on a "break" while judging a popular show with Simon Cowell, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. But the record producer said he wouldn't rule out not ever coming back.
“I’m not ruling ever coming back,” he added. “I have a job to do and once I get some work done and get some momentum then maybe I’ll revisit the idea a little later.”
It's too soon to tell who will take Reid's place, but Britney Spears might not be there either. "The X Factor" didn't do so well in ratings this year. The first thing to go will be Spears's $15 million reality show salary--that's just ridiculous.
