AP is reporting that Gen. David Petraeus' mistress Paula Broadwell won't be facing charges in Florida on "alleged acts of cyberstalking." The news agency received a letter from Broadwell's attorney Robert Muse saying that Petraeus' biographer/lover is in the clear — on the stalking charges at least.
Broadwell was reported to have sent Tampa Bay socialite Jill Kelley angry emails warning Kelley to stay away from her man in uniform. Kelley was known in military circles in Tampa and had security clearance at MacDill Air Force base. Broadwell had also reportedly warned Kelley to stay away from US Commander in Afghanistan Gen. John Allen.
But Broadwell is not completely vindicated; she is still under investigation for allegedly handling classified materials. Her lover, Petraeus, and Broadwell herself have both told detectives that they didn't talk business when they were getting down to, eh, "business."
