Long Island School Locked Down after 13-Year-Old’s ‘Terroristic Threats’

Westbury Middle School, Adam Lanza, Sandy Hook Elementary.

The Daily News is reporting that Westbury Middle School in Long Island was on lockdown Monday after a 13-year-old boy allegedly sent threatening messages to girls in his class.

The boy began the threats on Friday, about the same time that the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre was taking place, after he got access to someone else’s Facebook account.

He told Nassau County police that he felt he was being bullied by the two girls in question. After the threats were made public, the school was put on lockdown.

The 13-year-old is due in family court today in Mineola, Long Island, charged with making terroristic threats.

According to reporter Eileen Lephamer:

Police tell me the boy was home sick on Friday and saw the news reports about the CT shooting – and decided then to start threatening teens he felt were bullying him.
