Jenni Rivera, Mexican-American Superstar Dead in Plane Crash

It’s been confirmed that Jenni Rivera, Mexican-American singer, has died in a plane crash in northern Mexico that reportedly killed all passengers, according to authorities.

The wreckage was found in Ejido La Colorada, Municipality of Nuevo Leon on Sunday after the singer’s jet went missing 10 minutes after takeoff. Rivera was en route to the city of Toluca in central Mexico after a concert on Saturday night in Monterrey. The pop star, two pilots and four other passengers were on board, including her publicist, lawyer and makeup artist.

The bodies of those who went missing were not recognizable at the scene of the crash, Transportation and Communications Minister Gerardo Ruiz Esparza told the Televisa network.

Friends and celebrities are tweeting about the singer, offering their condolences.
