Blue Scholars shows "Loyalty" to their hometown of Seattle, filming and flowin' locally at Marymoor Park, Suzallo Library and Beacon Hill Elementary School.
THE HEAVY drops some black metal funk with "That Kind of Man". This is where acoustic guitars and age old samplers, coupled with the filthiest horns, guitar licks and disturbing lower frequencies dwell.
Culture and style is what's needed to show the true swagger of what Chicago brings to the rap game. This Chicago native just blessed the streets with his first Mix Tape entitled "I'm What It Iz - Vol. 1", featuring his debut single "Breezy".
The new single from Brit and Alex as featured on the new Step Up 2 Soundtrack.
The newest member of the Molemen drops his debut for the world to hear his smooth Chicago flow.
"Imagine the Kiss" brings smooth, downtown grooves and soulful vocals to the bustling city streets. The lead-off single from Bryan Sanders' debut, "Bryan Sanders: I", features guest appearance by vocalist Nataly Dorra.
The city of Chicago gets down as Pugs Atomz electrifies the airwaves with his newest "The Outlaw." The sound of the Chi-town underground.
Pugslee Atomz is sort of like the Chase ATM of Chicago hip-hop. If you don't see him around the city, you're probably not looking hard enough. Whether performing or promoting, the dreadlocked MC has been a constant on the scene for years now and through his many projects has succeeded in furthering the Chi-town hip-hop movement.
From her sophomore CD, Neo-Soul artist Sakai dances with and infectious mid-tempo groove on "I Like", which is graced by the touch of D'wayne Wiggins of Tony! Toni! Toné! on guitar.
The video for "Coffee" by underground hip-hop head Aesop Rock is a nod to classic 70s grindhouse and slasher cinema. The track is from his latest, "None Shall Pass" and features a guest spot from John Darnielle from indie-folk act The Mountain Goats.
The tune is the title track from a major player in underground hip-hop, Aesop Rock. He stars in this bizarre, animated clip with an urban theme.
DIDIER (pronounced "dee-djay") is one half of the production group TrackZillas. "My Baby" is a tight, catchy R&B jam, and its video has fresh, eye-catching style. Heavy.com is one of the very first pioneers to take a chance on this talent and showcase DIDIER's work.
An eerie video for this single from horror hip-hop star Cage. Both the song and the vid feature a guest spot by Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw, Head Automatica).
TOMI gets funky fresh with a smooooth Chicago soul sound at Fergie's Glamorous Party. "You Can Tell Me" is the debut single of his self-titled album.
THE HERBALIZER breaks out the interpolated rotoscope and a couple of his hip-hop accomplices for the menacing techno of "Generals." You've been warned.
