Kam Chancellor, 25, is the Seattle Seahawks strong safetytoria who gave a masterful performance in Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos.

1. Chancellor Was a High School Quarterback
He's originally from Norfolk, Virginia where he was a dual sports star in basketball and football for Matthew Fontaine Maury High School. In his younger years, he played as a quarterback. During his high school career he was ranked as the 20th best player in Virginia.
2. Chancellor Was a Virginia Tech Student
He went to college at Virginia Tech in 2006 where he switched to playing as a strong safety. In 2009, he considered leaving college a year early to enter the NFL draft but decided against it. At VT, his defense coach, Torian Gray, said that Chancellor could be "the greatest safety in Virginia Tech history."
3. Chancellor Didn't Start a Game in his First Season
He was drafted in the 5th round by the Seahawks in the 2010 NFL draft. During the 2010/11 season, he didn't start a game but got playing time in all 16 match-ups.

He appeared in the news in July 2013, when he revealed to his mother that she had bought her a new house. Chancellor said: "She cried tears of joy, tears of happiness. She deserves it.
